Some of My Favorite YouTube Beauty Channels

At least once a day I say to someone something like, "There's a girl I follow on YouTube..." to share something I've heard about or seen recently that I think would be useful to someone else. I tend to subscribe to folks who are genuine and unimposing, natural, not 'fake' or put on a show. The ones that are my favorite don't have those repetitive speech patterns that are peppered with 'uuuummmm, & uuuhhh'.

I've made a list of my top favorite beauty/ lifestyle YouTube channels that I watch regularly with a short description of their channel content. Go check them out! And if you subscribe, tell them I sent you. (Conder Cafe at Blogger)

1. Ashley at MakeupTIA is under 30, married, no children, and lives in Virginia, very close to D.C. and is so calming and super easy to listen to. Her voice is nice, her content is relevant to me and my skin type (oily) and her style is understated and professional. (It doesn't hurt that she's a cat Mom, too.) She is a red head, and I am not, but it doesn't seem to matter. Her style is so neutral that most with similar skin tone could use the same colors.

2.  Marnie Goldberg is a 40ish year old blonde in Texas with two teenage boys, an attorney husband and three adorable dogs. I love Marnie's no nonsense attitude and her modest, but fashionable style. She shares sale info, makeup reviews, hauls, favorites and vlogs her family life and I'm a real fan.

3. Kristin Gehm (pronounced Game) is a great lady from Wisconsin who gives awesome reviews of skin care and makeup as well as random hair care and other things on her channel. I love her honest opinion and find her to be very personable. We have different skin types, but the makeup style and our age similarity keeps me coming back. She's funny, bubbly, and easy to watch.

4. Emily is a former news anchor in Indiana (expecting her second daughter! :-) ) Emily has fantastic talent with makeup and knows her way around a contour and highlight palette. I love to watch her favorites videos and her reviews. It's very rare that I pick something on her recommendation that I don't like. And I love how she adds 'If you're an oily skin girl you might not like this.' or 'My dark skin girls, you will love this more than lighter complexions will.' to make sure that she covers all bases with a product to include 'this won't work for you' tips and what not.

5. Jessica over at JAMbeauty89 is a newly married 5th grade school teacher also in Indiana. Her husband Tyler has a wonderful travel channel TylerTravelsTV that is as professional as any on the actual Travel Channel. They even have a travel video of Mammoth Cave! :) ((That's in my neck of the woods, here in Kentucky.)) ANYWAY- Jessica is a fast talking, but easily understandable, lady who loves makeup and has an awesome way of describing and reviewing a product that makes you think you HAVE to go get it right now. I love that she loves drug store products as well. Extremely friendly and has a great attitude about life.

6. Jennifer Ross on Pretty Neat Living has a truly down to earth and girl next door air about her! She and her husband Don are parents to Charlotte, a beautiful 6 month old cutie. While I miss her makeup and lifestyle videos, she posts a lot of Mommy favorites and things about having a baby. Extremely useful stuff there for you new Moms out there! My favorite Playlists on her channel are her Favorites/ Empties and her 'what's in my bag' videos. Jenn is the youtuber responsible for teaching me about the 'walking pharmacy' bag. Putting a little something from every situation you can think of in a little pouch. An emergency pack, if you will. Everything from pain reliever to stain remover. Anything you might find in a drugstore that's needed in a pinch. This pouch has saved me dozens of times since I packed on and keep it at all times. She also introduced me to the Erin Condren Life Planners. My work planner has never been the same- in the best way possible!

7. Mary at ALoveTart is such a kind and sweet lady. I love her easy going, loving attitude and her videos are so informative and relaxing in a way that when you're done, you come away with a sense of calm somehow. She's a San Diego wife and Mom to one little girl and Mom to newly rescued Butterscotch- the new family kitty. Her beloved Zoe passed a while back and I believe her viewers grieved with her. She was nearly 20 years old! That's a best friend! Mary's video about manicures changed the way I do my own nails forever. That video is here- follow her instructions and I'm telling you, you will be amazed!

From here, I'm going to begin listing channels, because I could be here for hours. These 7 though are a few of the ones I subscribe to that I love to watch.

As another note- I've been told by people, "I don't have time to watch videos!" If you have a smart phone, or tablet of some kind, or even the laptop, and a wifi connection (assuming you don't have unlimited data) you have time to watch. I watch these videos on my phone YouTube app while I get ready for work in the morning, while I'm cleaning, doing the dishes, making lunches, anytime I'm home and can multi-task...Most of these are less than 25 minutes long and pretty easy to fit into your day! Now on with the rest of the list....

MrKongsMom Makeup and Home Frangrance reviews 5 days a week

ThriftThick I'm a new subscriber, she's different, but I do like her!

Michele1218 A gorgeous girl, inside and out and newly engaged! :)

Its Keerstin WOO! Be mindful of little ears when you watch Keerstin. LOL...She's not shy, I'll say that. But she's hilarious.

CoffeeBreakwithDani "Coffee break with ME, WOO!" :) Dani's tutorials are magical.

Samantha Reilly is Dani's best friend. If you have a chance to watch the videos they post when visiting each other, I think you'll enjoy and see yourself and your own BFF in their giggles. :)

I think I'm going to stop there. Like I said, these are just a few. All beauty related. I follow others on YouTube for other reasons, cleaning, health, yoga, weight loss. But I get asked sometimes about who I watch. I discover lots of other ladies because they will mention another YouTuber and link them in the description box below their video.

Go grab a drink, a snack, or lay out towels to fold- whatever- and meet the ladies I trust for reviews and information on all things beauty and lifestyle related!
