The Coziest Season of Fall is Coming!
9/25/23 This says it was published on 8/29/17, but when I opened it, it was on preview…publishing today to get it out of my drafts.
What is it about this wonderous time of year that is SO appealing to me? And to millions just like me? I'm going to do my best to leave here all that I love about this short season. (It feels short to me, at least.)
The colors. The goldens, oranges, browns, burgundies, all of the earthy, natural colors mixed with navy, deep plum bring me such calm and peaceful feeling. That same feeling I felt when my mother and I would sit on the front porch and read, listening to the dry leaves brush up against eachother as they clung to their homes on branches of trees that surrounded us. On rainy days, we were soothed by the constant, muted drumming of the falling rain onto the layer of leaves in the yard. We drank coffee. Another warming device to intertwine with the memory and feeling of fall.
So we have colors, reading, rainfall, coffee and Mama. What else? Where are my fashionistas? I know I get a little spring in my step knowing it's time for long sleeves and scarves, brown leather bags, and BOOTS! Let's not forget those!
